President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, praised the ministers and stakeholders who successfully reduced domestic flight ticket prices by 10 percent during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2024/2025 period.
According to him, the reduction in domestic flight ticket prices ahead of the Christmas and New Year period is the first time this has happened.
“Maybe for the first time in several years we can lower the price of plane tickets.” “Usually, prices go up towards the end of the year or during holidays,” said President Prabowo in a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (3/12).
The policy to lower domestic flight ticket prices during the Nataru 2024/2025 period aims to help the public reduce the burden of flight ticket prices. The implementation of the price adjustment will be in effect for 16 days from December 19, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
President Prabowo emphasized the importance of cross-ministerial and agency coordination in facing the Nataru 2024/2025 holiday.
He requested that all preparations, from infrastructure and transportation to security, be carried out thoroughly.
