Asri Welas and Galiech Rida Rahardja have stepped into the courtroom to undergo divorce proceedings at the Depok Religious Court, West Java. In this emotionally charged moment, Asri Welas couldn’t hold back her tears during the mediation.
In front of the judge, Asri Welas revealed that the unresolved principle differences were the main reason behind this bitter decision. That situation has been ongoing for about four to five years.
“There are fundamental differences that we have been dealing with for about 4-5 years but haven’t resolved,” revealed Asri Welas at the Depok Religious Court, West Java, Tuesday (3/12/2024).
- The Cause of Asri Welas’s Divorce
When asked in more depth about the reasons behind the divorce, Asri chose not to disclose the details. She emphasized that it became a moment of reflection for both of them.
“The mistakes should serve as introspection for both of us. We are both at fault, we must admit this is not good, but it had to happen,” said Asri.
- Commitment as Parents
Even though they have separated as husband and wife, Asri Welas and Galiech remain committed to fulfilling their roles as parents with full responsibility. Asri emphasized that communication between them is still harmonious. Asri Welas also realizes that there is no status as former family between herself and Galiech.
“But there is no such thing as an ex-family, so I will always be the mother of the boys, and Mr. Galiech will always be the father of my son, so we remain a family, there are no ex-families, everything is fine,” explained Asri.
- Hoping the Public Doesn’t Imitate
Next, Asri Welas also reminded the public not to follow in her footsteps. She hopes that the public can learn from her journey of marriage with Galiech.
“Don’t follow our example, friends. Hopefully, we can continue to be a good family.” Thank you very much,” continued Asri Welas.
- Together for 17 Years
Asri Welas and Galiech Ridha Rahardja got married in 2007. This means they have been together for 17 years. However, their marriage eventually ended as they officially decided to divorce by mutual agreement.
- Have Three Children
For 17 years together, Asri Welas and Galiech Ridha Rahardja have also been blessed with children. Their names are Rajwa Gilbram Ridha Rahardja, Rayyan Gibran Ridha Rahardja, and Renzo Gibrar Ridha Rahardja.
