Previously, supporters of the gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidate pair number 03 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono staged a protest in front of the Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) building. They called for the Jakarta gubernatorial election to be held again in the second round due to alleged fraud findings.

Through a command vehicle, the orator stated that the Jakarta KPU was deemed unprofessional in organizing the Jakarta 2024 Pilkada. It was suspected that there was widespread distribution of Form C6 or voting invitation forms that were not given to the public.

“The distribution of Form C6 was done in less than 2 days. This caused low public participation. As a result, public participation was very low, with only 49 percent actively voting,” shouted the orator in front of the Jakarta KPU Office, Senen, Central Jakarta, Monday (2/12/2024).

Then, the distribution of Form C6 was also said not to be carried out by the RT administrators or local government, but rather by members of the Voting Committee (PPS) in an irrational quantity, with only one member distributing 500 forms.

“For that reason, we are expressing this aspiration, and this is our form of disappointment, the winning team of Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, who feels that this is massive, structured, and systematic from irresponsible individuals,” he explained.

The protesters also called on the Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKPP) to immediately investigate the performance of the Jakarta KPU because many people did not vote or abstained in the Jakarta 2024 Pilkada. In fact, they demanded that the Jakarta KPU conduct a Repeat Voting (PSU) throughout Jakarta.

“Today we came here to fight for a two-round RIDO.” Because we have been cheated, the ballots were marked in advance, and Form C6 was not given to our supporters. Do we agree today to demand that the Jakarta KPU, which carried this out, hold a two-round RIDO? “RIDO, RIDO, RIDO!” said the orator.

The protesters expressed a vote of no confidence in the Jakarta KPU regarding the results of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. They demanded the holding of a second round because they were convinced that the real winners were the 01 candidate pair Ridwan Kamil-Suswono.

“We demand firmly that the KPU must be held accountable for all the mistakes, for all the mistakes that they have deliberately made,” the orator emphasized.
