Jakarta – Head of the Sub-Directorate for Youth, Children, and Women (Kasubdit Renakta) of the Metro Jakarta Raya Police (Polda Metro Jaya), Police Commissioner (Kompol) Syarifah Chaira Sukma, urged the public who have ever received treatment at the beauty clinic Ria Beauty to file a police report immediately.
The owner of Ria Beauty Salon, Ria Agustina, and her employee with the initials DNJ (58), were arrested and named suspects for allegedly violating the Health Law.
Syarifah said that her side suspects there have already been many victims from the medical actions taken by Ria Agustina. This is evident from the social media managed by Ria Beauty.
Many of them have left negative comments about Ria Beauty. However, Syarifah said that this matter needs to be investigated further.
“We haven’t confirmed whether they are victims or just seeking social media fame.” However, this treatment is a matter of suitability. Some are suitable, some are not. “So some people experience adverse effects from the dermaroller, resulting in numerous injuries to the victims,” said Syarifah.
Therefore, Syarifah said, her team is providing an opportunity for the victims to report to Unit Satu Renakta Polda Metro Jaya.
“So we will record it. Maybe at the unit 1 post, we will open it for the victims with complete administration, such as proof of payment, ID card, photos, and so on,” said Syarifah.
Furthermore, Syarifah emphasized that the investigation process is ongoing. The investigators from Polda Metro Jaya will visit the Ria Beauty beauty salon located in Malang, East Java.
“We might go to the crime scene, to Malang, for the next steps and possibly coordinate with the local police,” said Syarifah.
Owner of Ria Beauty Beauty Therapist Arrested
The police arrested and named Ria Agustina (33) as the suspect and owner of Ria Beauty Beauty Therapist. Not only Ria Agustina, but also one of her employees with the initials DNJ (58) was also arrested.
The Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya Triputra, explained that Ria Agustina is suspected of conducting beauty practices that do not comply with regulations.
This was discovered after the Sub-Directorate for Youth, Children, and Women of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Subdit Renakta Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police investigated information circulating on social media.
“Based on the examination results, the dermaroller tool has a valid permit, but the anesthetic cream and serum are not registered with the BPOM. Furthermore, the investigation results show that the suspects RA and DNJ are neither medical personnel nor healthcare workers,” said Wira during a press conference on Friday (6/12/2024).
He said that Ria Agustina is the owner of the Ria Beauty salon located in Malang, East Java. However, Wira stated that Ria Agustina opened a practice in a hotel at Somerset Grand Citra Jakarta and an apartment on Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Ria rented room 2028, which was repurposed for her practice. Wira stated that Ria started her practice on December 1, 2024.
