Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will hold a commemoration event for International Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) at the KPK Juang Building, South Jakarta, today, Monday (12/9/2024). However, the presence of President Prabowo Subianto will be replaced by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan, also known as BG.
“The latest confirmation updated this morning is that it will be represented by Mr. Menkopolkam (Budi Gunawan),” said KPK Spokesperson Team, Budi Prasetyo, when confirmed in Jakarta on Monday.
Several state officials and ministers were also seen attending the Hakordia event this morning, such as the Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Yusril Ihza Mahendra, and the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Menko PMK) Praktikno.
Then there were the Minister of Education and Culture Meutya Hafid, the Minister of Infrastructure Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as well as several other ministers and heads of agencies.
At this year’s Hakordia celebration, the KPK adopted the theme ‘Strengthening the Commitment to Eradicate Corruption for a Progressive Indonesia’.
This commemoration serves as an opportunity for the KPK to showcase their commitment and concrete steps taken in the fight against corruption, as well as to invite all parties to unite in creating a corruption-free Indonesia.
Coinciding with the peak of the World Anti-Corruption Day event, the KPK showcased and held an online auction of confiscated goods from suspects and convicts of corruption cases they are handling.
