Prabowo Inaugurates Madukoro Flyover in Semarang: This Was Built with the People’s Money

Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the Madukoro Flyover located in the city of Semarang, Central Java, on Wednesday (11/12/2024). Prabowo said that the flyover is one of the important infrastructures because it can open up connectivity and boost regional economic development.

“Alhamdulillah, on this happy day, we have all gathered to inaugurate one of the important infrastructures, namely the Madukoro Flyover in the city of Semarang,” said Prabowo while delivering his speech on Wednesday.

“We understand that infrastructure is important for opening connectivity and smoothing traffic flow. Thus, it drives economic development,” he continued.

He emphasized that the Madukoro Flyover and several other infrastructures were built using the people’s money. Prabowo reiterated that every rupiah of the people’s money must be used for the benefit of the people and felt its advantages.

“We must know that this infrastructure is built with the people’s money. I remind you for the umpteenth time that every rupiah of the people’s money must be used to the fullest for the benefit of the people,” he explained.

Prabowo expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Public Works for having carried out the construction of the Madukoro Flyover. He requested that all infrastructure built be ensured to be of high quality and in accordance with specifications.

“Ensure that everything built meets the specifications. Ensure that efficiency and quality are maintained.” “Give your best so that the capabilities of the state and nation can be felt by our people to the fullest,” said Prabowo.

The budget reaches Rp 198.9 billion.

For your information, the flyover located in the West Semarang District has been under construction since April 2023 and is expected to be completed by May 2024, with a budget of Rp198.9 billion.

The flyover infrastructure stretches 221 meters long with a total length of the flyover and connecting roads of 1,597 meters and a width of 19 meters.

The benefits of this infrastructure include alleviating traffic congestion or queues, especially at the Arterial Intersection (Madukoro) on the vital Pantura Java route, including towards Ahmad Yani Airport and Tanjung Mas Port.
