Klaten-Prambanan Toll Road Opened Functionally During Christmas and New Year Holidays

Klaten – The Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo toll road segment Klaten-Prambanan will operate functionally during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The 8.6 km long toll road will be opened functionally from December 20, 2024, to January 2, 2025.
“So, what we have prepared for functional use is the Klaten-Prambanan toll road segment, with a length of approximately 8.6 km. We plan to make it functional from December 20 to January 2,” said the President Director of PT Jasamarga Jogja-Solo, Rudy Hardiansyah, in Central Java, Wednesday (12/11/2024).

Rudi said that the Klaten-Prambanan Toll Road will operate for 12 hours from 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM. This operational hour limitation is the result of discussions with the police because some facilities are not yet complete.

“The hope is that it can be operational 24 hours, but after discussions with the police, considering the condition of the road which is still functional, they decided to accommodate that need situationally,” said Rudi.

“So it depends on the conditions. That is at the discretion of the police. So it is situational, depending on the density in Klaten, and also depending on the weather conditions,” he continued.

Rudi said that the existence of the Klaten-Prambanan Toll Road could be a solution to address traffic congestion in Klaten during the holiday season. He mentioned that travel time could also become faster.

“The advantage of operationalizing this segment (Klaten-Prambanan) is that it can reduce congestion in Klaten and the travel time for road users.” We predict that the Solo-Prambanan route will take approximately 30 minutes,” said Rudi.

“While it is still operationally functional, it is free, but drivers still need to tap,” he added.
