Jakarta – Chairman of the Honorary Board of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Komarudin Watubun, announced the dismissal of Joko Widodo or Jokowi, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Bobby Afif Nasution. The dismissal letter was read in front of all ranks of the PDI Perjuangan throughout Indonesia on Monday (16/12/2024).
“I received direct orders from the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle to officially announce in accordance with the party’s bylaws and house rules,” said Komarudin in his statement on Monday.
Komarudin mentioned that 30 PDIP cadres received sanctions in the form of dismissal, including Joko Widodo or Jokowi, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Bobby Nasution.
“The party’s DPP will announce the dismissal decision letter against Mr. Joko Widodo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Mr. Bobby Nasution, as well as 27 other members who are being dismissed,” he said.
Komarudin then read the decree or SK numbered Decree No 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024, No 1650/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024, and No 1651/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024.
As for the decision letter, I read it as follows:
- Decree No. 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 regarding the expulsion of Joko Widodo from the membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.

- Imposing an organizational sanction in the form of expulsion on Joko Widodo from the membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
- Prohibiting the aforementioned brother in the first dictum above from engaging in activities and holding any position under the name of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle
- Effective from the issuance of this dismissal letter, the DPP in the struggle has no relationship and is not responsible for anything done by Mr. Joko Widodo.
- The DPP PDI Perjuangan will be accountable for this decision letter at the upcoming congress.
- This Decree takes effect from the date it is issued and if any errors are found in the future, it will be reviewed and corrected as necessary.

The dismissal of Gibran Rakabuming Raka
Decree No. 1650/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 regarding the dismissal of Gibran Rakabuming Raka from the membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.

- Imposing an organizational sanction in the form of expulsion on Gibran Rakabuming Raka from the membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
- Prohibiting the aforementioned individual in the first dictum above from engaging in activities and holding any position under the name of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
- The DPP PDI Perjuangan will be accountable for this decision letter at the upcoming congress.
- This Decree is effective from the date it is issued and if any errors are found in the future, it will be reviewed and corrected as appropriate.
