Jakarta – The investigative team of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the headquarters of Bank Indonesia (BI) in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Monday night, December 16, 2024.
“Bank Indonesia received the arrival of the KPK at the Bank Indonesia Head Office in Jakarta on December 16, 2024,” said the Head of the BI Communication Department, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, in a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (12/17/2024).
Denny explained that the search was a follow-up related to the alleged misuse of Bank Indonesia’s CSR funds, which is currently being investigated by the KPK.
“The arrival of the KPK at Bank Indonesia was to complete the investigation process related to the alleged misuse of CSR distributed by Bank Indonesia,” he said.
He stated that Bank Indonesia respects and fully submits to the legal process carried out by the KPK in accordance with the applicable procedures and regulations. In addition, Bank Indonesia supports the investigative efforts and is cooperative with the KPK.
Previously, it was widely reported that the KPK searched the BI Office on Monday night, December 16, 2024. The inspection of the BI office is related to the case of alleged misuse of CSR funds.

“Yes, it’s true that the KPK team conducted a search at the BI Office last night,” said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika in her statement on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
This search is a follow-up to the case disclosure in September 2024. At that time, KPK investigators sniffed out allegations of problematic CSR fund usage because it was not in accordance with its intended purpose. CSR funds are suspected to have been used for personal interests.
