Jakarta – Former Head of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN), TNI General (Ret.) AM Hendropriyono, nearly got hit by a videotron on Monday, December 16, 2024. That moment was captured in a video shared by the Deputy Minister of Environment (Wamen LH) and also Hendropriyono’s son, Diaz Hendropriyono, on his social media account.
Diaz recounted that at the time of the incident, his father was giving a speech on stage during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Slamet Riyadi School building in Cijantung, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.
“The event was inside a tent, but at that time it was indeed raining heavily and there was strong wind, and my father shifted down from the stage,” Diaz wrote explaining the video on the Instagram account @diaz.hendropriyono, quoted Thursday (19/12/2024).
Not long after that, Diaz continued, a large videotron collapsed on stage and almost fell on his father.
“Grateful to have escaped death,” said the man who now serves as the Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry.
In the short video shared by Diaz, Hendropriyono appears to be delivering a speech. However, suddenly the videotron behind him collapsed.Hendropriyono looked shocked and immediately moved aside.

AM Hendropriyono is an Indonesian intelligence and military figure. He is not an ordinary person. How could it not be, he is the first Head of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN).
In fact, he is also nicknamed the master of intelligence because he became the world’s first ‘Professor in the field of Intelligence Philosophy’.
This 4-star general of the Indonesian Army is a graduate of the Military Academy in 1967 and comes from the Infantry branch (Kopassus). His exploits in the military world are beyond doubt.
