Jakarta Cooperatives Minister Budi Arie Setiadi has completed his questioning related to the online gambling case within the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi). The former Minister of Communication and Informatics (Menkominfo) provided a statement as a witness to the police investigators.
“That’s right, I am giving a statement as a witness.” Therefore, stop slandering and framing, because he will burn himself,” said Budi Arie Setiadi at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Thursday (12/19/2024).
The Chairman of the Pro Jokowi Volunteers (Projo) was reluctant to elaborate further on the content or schedule of his re-summoning. “Ask the investigator,” he said.
Previously, the police spoke out about the plan to question former Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, as a witness in the online gambling case involving a Komdigi employee.
The Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Wira Satya Triputra, stated that the summons of several officials, including Budi Arie, is still pending the results of the ongoing investigation.
“Are there any other officials being questioned, this is still in process.” “So it is likely that after the regional elections, we will conduct further investigations,” Wira told reporters on Monday (25/11/2024).
Wira stated that one of the matters the police will investigate at this time is related to AK (Adhi Kismanto) joining as an expert staff at Komdigi.
However, AK did not pass the selection for the CPNS at the end of 2023, where he applied as a candidate for technical support staff for the limited negative content blocking system at Komdigi.
“Is this AK who is the expert staff appointed directly?” We are still investigating this because, according to AK’s statement in the personnel department, they have been following the selection registration process from the beginning. However, at that time, they did not pass,” he said.
“So later we will delve into why he was given a portion, of course, we will conduct the examination gradually so that it will scale up to higher levels, so gradually, please give us time, it can’t be done suddenly,” he emphasized.
