Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Veronica Tan said that several mothers who received Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) felt happy. In fact, some of them were so moved that they cried.
He said this after reviewing the MBG program at Posyandu Dahlia 2, Ciracas, East Jakarta, on Friday (10/1/2025).
“The mothers were very happy, and some even cried with emotion earlier, because coincidentally, it was the grandmother who takes care of four or five of her grandchildren,” Veronica told reporters.
“And the programs provided aim for mothers to understand that having quality children is far better than having many children.” But when they went out, how that grandmother took care of her grandchild, until she just asked God to keep her healthy and for her to be able to work at anything that could support the family,” he continued.
Therefore, according to him, the Family Planning (KB) program is very important for educating families and children to be of much better quality.
“Quality children are well taken care of, given proper and nutritious food, provided with high education, so that the president’s program for the 2045 (golden) generation can be achieved,” he said.
