The Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri, is celebrating her 78th birthday today. Megawati’s birthday (HUT) is often associated with plans for a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto.
The Daily Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP admitted that he has not received any information regarding the planned meeting between Megawati and Prabowo. Meanwhile, Prabowo will be on an official trip to India this afternoon.
“I haven’t received any information yet, but it seems that Mr. Prabowo will depart around 2:00 PM WIB,” said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (23/1).
Dasco also cannot confirm whether the meeting will take place before Prabowo departs. He will inform the media if there are any developments.
“I don’t know yet, later if this is certain we will inform the media,” said Dasco.
The Deputy Speaker of the DPR, representing the Gerindra Party, conveyed birthday wishes to Megawati. The fifth President of Indonesia was wished to always be healthy.
“We, as the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party, also extend birthday wishes to Mrs. Megawati, hoping she remains healthy in her relationships,” said Dasco.
