Jakarta The fifth President of Indonesia and also the Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri, stated that all parties have a responsibility to safeguard the future of children in any part of the world for the future of global civilization, including the victims and survivors of the war in Palestine and Ukraine at present.
This was conveyed by Megawati in her speech while attending the Unbroken 5P Kids Alliance meeting at the Museum San Salvatore in Lauro, Rome, on Sunday evening (February 2, 2025), local time.
Present at this meeting were several Ministers and Ambassadors, as well as humanitarian fighters, activists of “The Unbroken Kids Alliance,” and children who are victims of war in Palestine and Ukraine.
“I am very proud and honored to be in this extraordinary forum.” We all have a responsibility to safeguard the future of children wherever they are in the world, because they are the hope for the future of civilization,” said Megawati.
According to him, what Unbroken Kids Alliance is doing is a noble mission and duty, as they have been fighting to save children who are victims of wars between countries and nations.
“That means saving the future of world civilization,” said Megawati.
“We from Indonesia give our highest appreciation to the humanitarian fighters.” You all have saved the world, you have taken great steps, because the children who are victims of war are the jewels for a better future of civilization. Our children will continue our mission to build a more peaceful and just world,” he continued.
