Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said that the performance allowance (tukin) for lecturers will be paid soon. The presidential regulation (Perpres) related to this matter is currently being finalized.”Tukin is in the process of finalizing the presidential regulation, which will be completed soon,” said Sri at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday (14/2).
Sri said that there are currently 97,734 lecturers receiving tukin. He admitted that they are currently in the process of more detailed calculations and data collection.

“Currently, we are processing the counting and data collection,” said Sri.
Previously, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendikti Saintek) Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro admitted that his ministry was asked to cut Rp14.3 trillion. This is in support of the budget efficiency policy.
“The request for efficiency from the Director General of Budgeting amounting to IDR 14.3 trillion,” said Satryo during a meeting at Commission X of the DPR, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
He is striving for the cut to be approved at Rp6.785 trillion from Rp14.3 trillion. The amount does not yet include the lecturer’s performance allowance (tukin).
“This does not include the performance allowance for lecturers and civil servants, amounting to Rp2.5 trillion, which has already received the green light from the Ministry of Finance to be paid.” With this position, I hope you can advocate so that the cut is not Rp14.3 trillion but only Rp6.78 trillion,” said Satryo.
