Jakarta – The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has seized assets in a case of alleged corruption (TPK) and money laundering (TPPU) in the palm oil plantation business conducted by PT Duta Palma Group in Indra Giri Hulu Regency.
Now, the seized asset in the form of 200 thousand hectares of land has been entrusted to the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to maintain the asset’s value and continue to be beneficial for the country and society.
That was stated by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin after holding a coordination meeting with the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, on Tuesday (18/2/2025).
From the investigative team, we will ensure that these assets, for the time being, will be entrusted to the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises. So that these assets remain protected. It is hoped that in the future it can continue to generate profits for the government and especially for the communities that depend on PT Duta Palma,” said ST Burhanuddin to reporters on Tuesday (18/2/2025).
Regarding the reason for choosing the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises as the temporary manager, Burhanuddin explained that this matter is still not final, so the assets cannot be fully executed yet.
“Because the one who can manage and has an institution that can manage is in the state-owned enterprises (BUMN).” It could possibly go to PTP or whatever, that is what BUMN will do. “That’s why we chose BUMN, as they are both state institutions,” said the Attorney General.
Make Sure It Doesn’t Harm Workers

Meanwhile, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir welcomed this collaboration. Erick emphasized that his side will ensure that the seized assets from the corruption case are well-managed and do not harm the workers.
“The Attorney General wants to collaborate with us so that these seized assets do not decrease, in line with the government’s vision and the President’s vision that corruption must be eradicated.” “But the protection of good assets that are beneficial for the state and society is also safeguarded,” he said.
