Jakarta – Flooding occurred in the Bekasi area, West Java on Tuesday (March 4, 2025) morning. Based on the video received, dozens of cars were submerged in floodwaters around the Grand Galaxy City Ruko, Bekasi.
The Mayor of Bekasi, Tri Adhianto, stated that the Bekasi administration is paralyzed due to the flooding affecting 8 sub-districts. “Out of the 12 sub-districts affected, 8 are impacted.” “This morning, the city of Bekasi is paralyzed,” said Tri in an online coordination meeting, Tuesday (4/3/2025).
Tri admitted that residents had been asked to evacuate since last night. This morning, they are still in the process of counting the number of victims and conducting an evaluation. “Since last night, we have asked the residents to evacuate,” he said.
Previously, several residential areas in the Bekasi City region were inundated by floods. This was due to the heavy and widespread rainfall early this morning, Tuesday (4/3/2025).
Based on reports from several residents received by the editorial team, several residential complexes affected by the flood include the Duta Indah Housing Complex. According to local residents, the flood submerged the residential area at the back of the complex.
“The affected area is at the back, the front area is safe,” said Pri via text message, Tuesday (4/3/2025).
In line with that, in another residential area of Bekasi, specifically in the Bumi Nasio Housing Complex, it was also reported that there were flood puddles. One of the local residents named Evi reported that this morning there were only puddles in front of her house.
“My house is safe, there’s just water in front of the house,” Evi explained.
In line with that, several flood points in the Bekasi area also occurred in Kemang Pratama, Vila Nusa Indah 1, Perumahan Galaksi, and Pondok Mitra Lesatari.
Based on photos sent by residents living in Vila Nusa Indah, the flood reached the height of a basketball hoop.
