The plenary meeting and voting of Commission III of the DPR regarding the election and appointment of candidates for the leadership (capim) and candidates for the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) resulted in Setyo Budiyanto being elected as the KPK Chairman for the 2024-2029 term.
Setyo received 46 votes, while the other four leaders were Fitroh Rohcahyanto with 48 votes, Ibnu Basuki Widodo with 33 votes, Johanis Tanak with 48 votes, and Agus Joko Pramono with 39 votes.
Meanwhile, the voting for the position of Chairman was as follows: Setyo with 45 votes, Fitroh with 1 vote, and Johanis with 2 votes.
It is known that Commission III of the DPR held a plenary meeting for the election and appointment of candidates for the leadership (capim) and candidates for the Board of Supervisors (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday (21/11/2024).
The selection mechanism uses a voting system.
“Because this involves us choosing person by person, the result of the deliberation is that we will use a majority vote.” So as to respect the rights of each member. “Don’t let anyone feel that their rights are being restricted,” said the Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, in the Commission III Meeting Room, Thursday (21/11/2024).
The meeting was attended by 44 members from eight factions, and each member had the right to vote.
“The way it works is that the ballot paper is marked or checked by the members of Commission III, then placed in the provided ballot box,” said Habiburokhman.
