Rusdy Mastura Reveals Achievements During Leading Central Sulawesi

Central Sulawesi Governor candidate number 3 Rusdy Mastura held a consolidation with Nunu residents, Tatanga. He emphasized his readiness to lead Central Sulawesi again.

“The achievements and successes of Central Sulawesi must be continued,” said Rusdy Mastura, Saturday, November 16, 2024.

He revealed that he almost could not run for the 2024 Pilkada because he did not have the minimum requirements for candidacy. However, another opportunity came after the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) Number 60 / PUU-XXII / 2024 regarding the threshold for nominating regional heads in the elections.

The Constitutional Court decided to change the nomination threshold for regional heads and deputy regional heads. Through this decision, he said, the calculation of the requirements to propose a candidate pair is only based on the results of the valid votes of political parties or a combination of political parties in the elections in the relevant area, which ranges from 6.5 percent to 10 percent.

He also revealed significant achievements during his leadership of Central Sulawesi for the 2021-2024 period. Among other things, reducing the extreme poverty rate from 3.02 percent in 2022 to 1.44 percent in 2023.

“The Human Development Index (HDI) increased from 70.54 in 2021 to 71.66 in 2023, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) decreased from 3.49 percent in 2023, to 3.15 percent in 2024,” said Cudi, his nickname.

He revealed that Central Sulawesi also recorded the second highest economic growth in Indonesia in 2023, namely 11.91 percent. Then, investment realization reached Rp111.68 trillion.

“Making Central Sulawesi the only regional government outside Java that entered the top four in the highest investment realization in Indonesia, with Jakarta, West Java, and East Java occupying the top three,” he said.

The inflation rate in Central Sulawesi, he said, was maintained at 2.5 percent. Then, Regional Original Revenue (PAD) increased from IDR900 billion in 2021 to IDR2.184 trillion in June 2024.

“I hope to continue development and improve the welfare of the people of Central Sulawesi in the next period,” he said.
