Basuki Hadimuljono Elected as Chairman of KAGAMA 2024-2029

The XIV National Conference (Munas XIV) of the Gadjah Mada University Alumni Family (KAGAMA) officially elected Basuki Hadimuljono as the General Chair of KAGAMA for the 2024-2029 term. Basuki, who currently serves as the Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority of Indonesia, was elected by acclamation at the National Conference (Munas).

In his statement, Basuki emphasized that he would continue the leadership baton from Ganjar Pranowo, who has led KAGAMA towards a more progressive direction over the past decade.

“I will continue what Ganjar Pranowo has achieved, and together we will realize a greater contribution for Ibu Pertiwi,” he said as quoted on Sunday (17/11/2024).

Basuki is committed to continuing those achievements, while also bringing new innovations that are relevant to the challenges of the times. He also stated that KAGAMA will continue to be the driving force behind Indonesia’s progress.

The series of the XIV KAGAMA National Conference, which took place from November 14 to 17, 2024, was held at the Mercure Hotel, Ancol, Jakarta, with various activities that strengthened the camaraderie among alumni. Several recommendations were also produced, including that the election of the KAGAMA General Chairperson was conducted democratically and in a familial manner.

In addition, a healthy walk will also be held, attended by hundreds of alumni, to strengthen the bonds of friendship. Then, an art performance showcasing the creativity of alumni across generations.

Basuki is an alumnus of UGM, Department of Geology, Class of 1979, who has dedicated himself to various strategic positions. He is known as a hardworking and highly dedicated individual.

With his background in infrastructure, Basuki is expected to strengthen KAGAMA’s programs that support inclusive and sustainable development in Indonesia.
