Although they have not yet reached the initial target of 50 percent of the votes, they are optimistic about winning the 2024 Pilkada contest. To maintain the transparency of the vote results, Ayep mentioned that 230 witnesses have been prepared from the Forum Komunikasi Dua Bangsa (FKDB) volunteers, and 551 witnesses from PDIP.
He said that these witnesses are tasked with overseeing the vote counting process from the polling station level to the Sukabumi City KPU. Although they obtained a superior number of votes, Ayep continued, they have not declared victory before the results are released by the KPU.
“We will also oversee it up to the sub-district level and then to the city KPU level. We will ensure that this victory is not tarnished,” he said.
“We are still waiting for the real count results. This is an official process published nationally, so we must respect it,” he added.
Strategies to Increase Voter Turnout
Still according to Ayep Zaki, this quick count uses two sources in data tabulation, namely based on C1 forms from TPS witnesses and the real count. One of the keys to successfully attracting voters is the door-to-door campaign strategy.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Winning Team for candidate pair number 2, Totong Suparman, stated that the indicators of superior vote acquisition presented have a high level of accuracy and the results of their survey can be accounted for.
“These indicators are not from local survey institutions, but rather national ones.” “When they showed candidate pair 2 leading, I am confident the results will not be far off. Currently, our votes are around 45 percent, while the other two candidate pairs are at 28 and 20 percent respectively,” said Totong.
With the latest survey data coverage reaching 88 percent, the upward trend in votes for candidate pair 2 continues as more vote counting data comes in. They are confident that the vote count for candidate pair 2 can still increase.
He revealed that the main voter base for this candidate pair is in the districts of Warudoyong, Cibeureum, and Gunungpuyuh, which are key areas with significant vote counts.
“Although there are polling stations where we won narrowly, there are also those where we won by a large margin. This shows that the people of Sukabumi as a whole want change,” he stated.
