Proposal for Additional Budget of Rp273.1 Billion, AHY: Still Smaller than Coordinating Minister Zulhas-Cak Imin

Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), proposed an additional budget of Rp273.1 billion to the Budget Committee (Banggar) of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI).

According to AHY, the amount is still smaller compared to the additional budget proposals from other ministries, namely the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) and the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan. (Zulhas).

“This is mainly for the management of information systems, provision of work facilities, including the canon center, and so on, strengthening public and media information, strategic activities, employee expenses,” he continued.

AHY then mentioned that the total budget needed is Rp503.1 billion. Therefore, currently, the total budget is still lacking Rp273.1 billion.

“Thus, the total budget for the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment after the addition will amount to 503,143,736,000 rupiah,” he said.

AHY joked that the proposed additional budget was still smaller compared to the proposals from Zulhas and Cak Imin. It is known that Cak Imin proposed an additional budget of Rp 653.7 billion and Zulhas proposed Rp 505.9 billion.

“Clearly, it is still smaller compared to Mr. Zulhas and Mr. Cak Imin, in accordance with the number of seats in the DPR, sir,” concluded AHY.
