The perpetrators of the acid attack on Bhabinkamtibmas member, Aipda Ibrohim, are still on the Most Wanted List (DPO). This is because the police are still pursuing the two main perpetrators of the acid attack.
Aipda Ibrohim was splashed with acid while dispersing a brawl in Cilincing, North Jakarta on Monday, (2/12/2024) at 04:30 WIB.
“The main perpetrator is still being pursued, along with the person who poured the acid and the supplier of the acid,” said the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Ahmad Fuady, when confirmed on Tuesday (3/12/2024).
Fuady said that the two individuals are now on the wanted list. In addition, there are also six other perpetrators involved in the brawl who were present at the location during the acid-throwing incident.
“Wait for the release, please give us some time,” he said briefly.
Cilincing Police Chief Kompol Fernando Saharta Saragih revealed that the chronology of this acid attack occurred at the intersection under the Tanah Merdeka Toll Bridge in Cilincing, North Jakarta, on Monday around 04:30 WIB.
“There are two victims, the first being Bhabinkamtibmas Semper Barat Aipda Ibrohim and the resident Mohamad Yahya,” he said.
The police chief said that the doctor’s examination results showed that Ibrohim suffered burns. The police officer sustained injuries to the head and both arms.
Meanwhile, the victim Muhammad Yahya suffered burns on his back and left leg.
“At the doctor’s recommendation, both victims were advised to be hospitalized for further observation,” he said.
Currently, both victims are receiving intensive care at RSUD Koja, North Jakarta. (Jakut).
Disperse Teens Suspected of Planning a Brawl
This incident began when the victim finished patrolling. Ibrohim would return to his area riding a motorcycle with his companion.
Upon arriving at the location around 04:30 AM, he found a group of teenagers still hanging out and suspected they were about to engage in a brawl.
Ibrohim urged the group of teenagers to return to their respective homes. However, they ignored him and even resisted. Ibrohim then fired three warning shots into the air, and they eventually dispersed.
Not long after, one of the teenagers wearing a gray jacket and a mask returned and splashed acid towards Ibrohim and his colleague using a red scoop found at the location.
