Jakarta, Indonesian badminton legend Rudy Hartono Kurniawan has once again been hit with news of his passing. On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, news of the passing of the eight-time All England champion circulated via a broadcast on a messaging app.
In the broadcast, there was a poster expressing condolences for a man named Rudi Hartono, stating that he passed away at the age of 87 on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 08:21 in a hospital in the Permata Hijau area.
However, Rudy Hartono is actually in good health. This was confirmed by badminton observer who once served as the spokesperson for PBSI, Broto Happy. Apparently, there was a name similarity, leading many to believe that Rudy Hartono, the All England legend, had passed away.
