Kediri – The incident of a family murder in Pandantoyo Village, Ngancar District, Kediri Regency, East Java, has shocked the local residents. Kediri Police admitted that they are still investigating the brutal murder case that befell a family consisting of a father, mother, and two children.
“Four people were at the crime scene. Three of them were declared dead, while one person is still being treated at the hospital,” he said in Kediri, Thursday (5/12/2024) yesterday.
They have not yet been able to explain the details of the case. Currently, members are processing the crime scene (TKP) at the location where the victim was found.
Members are also gathering statements from several witnesses in the vicinity. This is part of the investigation to uncover the case.
“We are still gathering witness statements. Officers are processing the crime scene to determine the cause of death and the motive,” he said.
From the information gathered, the victim was found by residents on Thursday morning. The victim’s family and friends were suspicious because the victim and their family had not been seen leaving the house since Wednesday (12/4/2024) when they took leave from work.
Family members who participated in checking the condition of the house also did not get a response from the homeowner despite knocking on the door several times.
One of the relatives then took the initiative to open the window of the victim’s room and found bloodstains. However, he did not dare to enter the house.
Finally, another resident tried to peek through a hole in the wooden wall in the kitchen and saw a hand lying there.
The discovery was then reported to the village authorities and forwarded to the police. Eventually, the police arrived at the location and found the victims.
The Youngest Child Was Still Alive When Found
When found, AK (father), KR (mother), and CAW, the first child who was still in junior high school, were found dead. Their bodies were drenched in blood, while the youngest, SPY, who is still in elementary school, was also found injured. He was still alive when found.
Currently, the victims have been evacuated to the hospital, while the injured victims are receiving medical treatment at RS Bhayangkara Kediri.
For the victims’ houses, the police have also put up police tape, ensuring that those without any interest cannot enter. The discovery also shocked the residents. They flocked to the location of the house, even though they had to stand behind the police line.
