Alleged Corruption Proceeds, Police Seize Sabaleh Homestay Worth Billions of Rupiah in Harau

Pekanbaru – The hunt for assets suspected to be the result of corruption in travel orders (SPPD) at the Riau DPRD continues to be carried out by investigators from the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate. This time, the Corruption Crime Sub-Directorate investigators seized 11 homestays in Jorong Padang Torok.

The accommodations are located in Nagari Harau, Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra. Investigators suspect that the purchase of land and the construction of 11 homestays at the location are the result of a fictitious travel order crime in the Riau DPRD Secretariat.

The Director of the Special Criminal Investigation Unit of the Riau Police explained that the seizure of the building named “Sabaleh Homestay” was based on a seizure permit from the Tanjung Pati District Court number: 178/Pen.Pid/Sita/2024/PN Tjp dated November 18, 2024.

“The seizure took place on December 7 from noon until completion, officers installed planks or seizure signs on each building,” said Nasriadi on Monday morning (12/9/2024).

The seizure was led by the Deputy Director of Corruption Crimes, Kompol Gede Prasetia Adi SIK. The dozen homestays are located on a land area of 1206 M2 and were registered under the names of individuals who are civil servants and officials in the Riau DPRD Secretariat from 2020-2021.

“The land certificate was confiscated from Irwan Suryadi as the owner of the plot of land,” said Nasriadi.

The individual admitted that the purchase of the land came from the disbursement of a fictitious out-of-area duty accountability letter at the Riau Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD). The seizure was witnessed by several people, including the homestay caretaker, the neighborhood head (RW), and local police.

“This land and building are estimated to be worth Rp2 billion,” said Nasriadi.

Nasriadi stated that the asset tracing, suspected to be the result of fictitious SPPD crimes by officials in the Riau DPRD Secretariat, is ongoing. Before the homestay, investigators seized 4 apartments in Batam that were registered under the names of officials and daily workers.

Previously, officers also confiscated a house in Pekanbaru that is suspected to be owned by the highest-ranking official in the Riau DPRD Secretariat. Officers also seized several bags and branded items from daily workers sourced from officials in the secretariat.

A few days ago, officers summoned FTV artist and influencer Hana Hanifah at the Riau Police. Hana is suspected of receiving hundreds of millions from fictitious travel allowances provided by officials in the Riau DPRD Secretariat.
