KPK: The Content of the LHKPN Report is Still Concerning

Jakarta – The Acting Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Nawawi Pomolango, expressed concern over the State Officials Wealth Report. (LHKPN). Because there are still indications of receiving bribes and gratuities.

Nawawi reminded that the LHKPN is one of the important instruments in the accountability of public officials to the community in a correct form and content that corresponds to reality.

The Acting Chairperson of the KPK stated that they have encouraged improvements in governance and public services through the Regional Corruption Prevention Index, which is measured through the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP), focusing on eight areas.

“This index reflects the achievements of efforts to prevent corruption in local governments monitored by the KPK in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and BPKP. In 2023, the achievement of the Regional Corruption Prevention Index was 75.” Through the MCP, the KPK synergized with local governments and other related agencies, successfully saving regional finances amounting to Rp114.3 trillion through asset regulation and the collection of overdue regional taxes,” he explained.

Nawawi added that the KPK also undertakes preventive measures through anti-corruption education by implementing an anti-corruption curriculum and improving the educational ecosystem to be more integrity-oriented by involving various related institutions.

He also targets that the KPK can achieve an Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK) score of 3.85 this year.

“In the future, we want to make the KPK a Center of Excellence for Anti-Corruption through Education. This will be measured, among other things, through the Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK), which in 2024 is targeted to reach a score of 3.85 on a scale of 0 to 5; and the Educational Integrity Index (IIP), which in 2023 reached a value of 73.4, with a target of 74 in 2024,” concluded Nawawi.
