Mother Suspected of Being Kidnapped in Antapani Bandung Returns Home Accompanied by a Motorcycle Taxi Driver

Bandung – A woman with the initials S (43) who was suspected of being a kidnapping victim in the city of Bandung was reported to have returned home to her residence on Jalan Sukanagara Asri, Antapani Kidul, Antapani District, last night, Sunday (8/12/2024).

The head of RW 09, Dwi Budi, stated that the victim was escorted home by an ojek driver around 8:40 PM WIB.

“I don’t know the condition yet, but the victim has returned. He was escorted by an ojek driver from Pasir Impun,” Dwi told reporters.

The victim’s condition is reported to be unstable and still difficult to question, while the police have also gathered information from the motorcycle taxi driver.

Previously, the Antapani Police Chief, Kompol Yusuf Tojiri, stated that the case is currently under investigation by the police. They are still gathering various pieces of information to delve into the identity and alleged motive behind the kidnapping.

“As for the motive, it cannot be concluded at this time. Until now, the team is still working on investigating this incident,” said Antapani Police Chief Kompol Yusuf Tojiri.

The incident was recorded by CCTV. In the video, S, dressed in black, can be seen just getting out of a red car.

When he was about to enter the house, suddenly another silver car was seen approaching him. Two people, suspected to be men, got out of the car. One of them hurriedly approached S while brandishing an object suspected to be a firearm.

The perpetrator then pulled and forcibly brought S into the silver car. After S got in, the car drove away.

From the CCTV footage, the car was seen without a license plate. According to local residents, the incident occurred at 12:30 PM WIB. The victim was known to have just returned from a gathering. He was driving the car alone.
