Jakarta – The Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, confirmed the presence of President Prabowo Subianto at the peak event of the 60th anniversary of the Golkar Party on Thursday, December 12, 2024. “According to the schedule, Prabowo, God willing, will be present,” said Bahlil to the media at Hotel Grand Paragon, West Jakarta, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
However, Bahlil could not yet confirm the attendance of the seventh president, Joko Widodo, who is also invited to the event. “Pray for it,” he said.
In addition to inviting Prabowo, Bahlil also invited Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the vice president and the other party chairpersons. “All the party chairpersons we invited,” said the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources or ESDM.
The Golkar Party turned 60 years old on Sunday, October 20, 2024. To commemorate this milestone, Golkar will hold a series of events culminating on December 12, 2024.
The peak anniversary event with the theme ‘Golkar Solid for a Progressive Indonesia’ will be held at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC). “Tomorrow we will celebrate the peak anniversary of Golkar in Sentul,” said Bahlil.
Before that, Golkar held technical guidance or bimtek for the Golkar Party Faction in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) and regional representative councils (DPRD) across Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period. The bimtek event was held at the Grand Paragon Hotel on Wednesday, December 11, or one day before the peak anniversary agenda of Golkar.
In the Bimtek agenda, Bahlil took a moment to give a welcoming speech to the participants. “Our goal is to assist President Mr. Prabowo and Vice President Mr. Gibran in prospering the people, the nation, and the state,” said Bahlil to the Bimtek participants.
After delivering his opening remarks for about 50 minutes, Bahlil left the venue around 11:06 AM WIB. He was reported to be heading from the hotel to Sentul.
