Jakarta – The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) conducted a reconstruction of a sexual harassment case involving a disabled man with the initials IWAS. In the reconstruction, the armless man played 49 scenes.
“We conducted the reconstruction at these three locations based on the statements of the victim and the three perpetrators,” said the Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of NTB Police, Kombes Syarif Hidayat, after holding the reconstruction on Jalan Udayana, Mataram City, as reported by detikBali, Wednesday (11/12/2024).
According to Syarif, the activity carried out today was a reconstruction related to the incident that occurred on October 7, 2024. Based on the minutes of the examination (BAP), he said, IWAS should have only reenacted 28 scenes.
“The developments in the field show there are 49 scenes because there were developments in the actions taken by the suspect in the field,” he added.
Syarif explained that the additional scenes were an accommodation of IWAS’s statements. “We are accommodating the suspect’s statements as carried out in the field. This will be our material to present in court,” he added.
The reconstruction began at the location where IWAS met the victim around 09:00 Wita, Wednesday. At the first location, IWAS demonstrated several scenes of the first meeting with the victim.
