Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto attended the opening of the 2024 Police Regional Unit Commanders’ Assembly at the Police Academy (Akpol) in Semarang, Central Java Province, on Wednesday (11/12/2024). Prabowo urged the ranks of the National Police to become more professional.
“We hope the police become more enthusiastic, more professional,” said Prabowo to reporters at Akpol Semarang, Central Java, Wednesday (12/11/2024).
He also reminded the police to be more disciplined in the future. Additionally, Prabowo emphasized that the police must increasingly serve the nation and the community.
“The more disciplined, the more devoted to the nation and the people,” he explained.
Previously, Prabowo’s arrival at the Main Gate of Tanggon Kosala, Akpol, was directly welcomed by the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Agus Subiyanto. In addition, a drumline from the cadets accompanied Prabowo as he passed through the honor guard.
After that, Prabowo boarded the Maung tactical vehicle heading to the Cendrawasih Auditorium, Graha Cendekia, Akpol. Along the way, Prabowo was greeted by TNI-Polri personnel, students, and the public who stood along the route, singing songs enthusiastically.
Prabowo gave a briefing to the heads of regional units present from all over Indonesia.
He expressed his gratitude for the invitation extended by the Chief of Police and his entire staff. He also appreciated the performance of the police force throughout Indonesia.
“Of course, it is an honor and an opportunity for me to meet face-to-face with all the leaders of this republic.” “I would like to thank all of you, the Chief of Police, and the entire staff who have performed their duties very well,” said Prabowo.
