Jakarta – Former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Yudi Purnomo Harahap stated that the examination of Yasonna Laoly, the former Minister of Law and Human Rights during the 7th President Joko Widodo’s administration, marks a new chapter in the pursuit of Harun Masiku.
According to him, after a hiatus following the examination of Hasto, the PDIP Secretary-General, the KPK investigators under the leadership of AKBP Rossa Purbo Bekti are now back in action to pursue suspects in the case of alleged bribery or promises to state officials, related to the determination of elected members of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period at the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia.
Yudi explained that the investigators do not randomly summon people for questioning, especially since Yasona is a former high-ranking state official or high profile, so the investigators must have prepared questions or materials for the summoned witness.
Yudi suspects that Yasonna’s summons is still related to the KPK’s efforts to pursue the suspect.

For him, it is not a problem if Yasonna does not attend the latest summons, because the KPK can still reschedule.
If he repeatedly fails to attend the KPK summons, the anti-corruption commission could forcibly bring the former Minister of Law and Human Rights, who is a member of the PDI Perjuangan, to their office.
He hopes that Harun Masiku can be arrested soon because he has been on the wanted list (DPO) or fugitive list for almost 5 years, so Yasonna’s questioning is considered a new chapter in the pursuit.
