Jakarta President Prabowo Subianto gives corruptors a chance to repent and return the people’s money that has been stolen. Prabowo said that he would forgive the corruptors if they return the people’s money.
“In these weeks, these months, I am in the process of giving what you might call an opportunity, an opportunity for repentance.” “Hey, corruptors or those who feel they have stolen from the people, if you return what you have stolen, maybe we will forgive you, but return it, okay?” said Prabowo during a meeting with Indonesian students at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, as seen on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel, Thursday (19/12/2024).
He stated that the corruptors could return the people’s money quietly so that it wouldn’t be known. Prabowo doesn’t mind, as long as the corruptors return the people’s money that has been stolen.
“Later, we will give them a chance to return it quietly so it won’t be noticed, returning it, okay, but returning it,” he said.
In addition, Prabowo also asked those who have received facilities from the state to fulfill their obligations. He promised not to bring up this issue if they comply with the law and their obligations.
“Then, you who have already received facilities from the nation and the state, fulfill your obligations.” As long as you fulfill your obligations and obey the law, we are facing the future. “We don’t dwell on the past,” said Prabowo Subianto.
