Jakarta – The Ministry of Public Works, together with Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT), is making various preparations, including the implementation of toll fare discounts on several toll roads used by travelers heading to their hometowns. This is an effort to support the smooth flow of homebound and return traffic during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 (Nataru) holiday period.
In addition, the implementation of a 10% toll discount applicable to all vehicle categories aims to maximize traffic distribution and avoid vehicle congestion on specific dates predicted to be peak return or departure periods.
The Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, appreciated the Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) for their commitment to improving the operational services of toll roads through the preparation of infrastructure, supporting facilities and infrastructure, including providing toll fare discounts to enhance services for toll road users.
“We greatly appreciate the toll road business entities (BUJT) that have implemented toll rate discounts during the Nataru period.” “Essentially, always prioritize the people and maintain the quality of toll road services,” said Minister Dody as quoted from the official statement, Friday (20/12/2024).
The provision of toll rate discounts for the Trans Java Toll Road cluster applies to the integration of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Cikampek-Palimanan, Palimanan-Kanci, Kanci-Pejagan, Pejagan-Pemalang, Pemalang-Batang, Batang-Semarang, and Semarang Toll Road Section ABC. The toll rate discount for the Nataru 2024/2025 homecoming traffic is effective today, Thursday, December 19, 2024, starting at 05:00 WIB (for 24 hours).
Next, for the return flow, it applies to the opposite route, namely the Semarang ABC toll road to the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road or the Kalikangkung Toll Gate to the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. The implementation of the reverse flow toll rates will be in effect on December 28, 2024, and January 3, 2025, for 24 hours starting from 05:00 WIB.
Return Flow
For the Trans Sumatra corridor, a 10% toll discount for all vehicle categories during the homecoming rush applies to the Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung section (GT Bakauheni Selatan-GT Kayu Agung Utama), the Kayu Agung-Palembang section (Kayu Agung Utama-Kramasan), and the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road.
Toll fare discounts for the homecoming traffic on the Trans Sumatera toll corridor will be valid on December 23, 2024, starting at 05:00 WIB for 24 hours.
Return Flow
Meanwhile, for the return flow, the same 10% discount on several sections of the Trans Sumatera toll road will apply to the opposite sections on December 28, 2024, and January 3, 2025, for 24 hours starting from 05:00 WIB.
The Ministry of Public Works also urges travelers returning to their hometowns to prepare sufficient electronic money (e-Toll) balance according to their travel destination to avoid queues at toll gates due to insufficient balance and top-ups.
And also conduct a vehicle check before starting the journey to ensure that the vehicle used is always in prime condition and continues to comply with driving rules and traffic signs during the journey.
