Jakarta PDI Perjuangan ensures that the Secretary-General (Sekjen) of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto (HK), and the Chairman of the DPP PDIP, Yasonna Hamonangan Laolly (YHL), will follow the ongoing legal process at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Both PDIP elites were named suspects in the bribery case of the Replacement of Members of the House of Representatives (PAW) involving former PDIP legislative candidate Harun Masiku. Hasto himself is charged with another crime, namely obstruction of justice.

“Surely both of them will follow the existing legal process,” said Ronny to reporters on Thursday (12/26/2024).
Currently, Ronny continued, his team is preparing legal steps regarding the designation of Hasto Kristiyanto and Yasonna as suspects. However, regarding the details, Ronny has not disclosed them at this time.
“Currently, we are focused on preparing our legal steps.” This is related to strategy. Later, at the right time, we will convey it,” said Ronny.
Previously, the DPP PDIP questioned the decision of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to prevent PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto and PDIP DPP Chairman Yasonna Laoly from traveling abroad. PDIP Spokesperson Chico Hakim stated that they have not yet received clarity on the case that has implicated Yasonna.
“We deeply regret this (travel ban) because there is no clarity and Mr. Yasonna’s involvement cannot be explained in relation to this ongoing case,” said Chico to reporters on Thursday (26/12/2024).
Nevertheless, Chico emphasized that PDIP will respect all legal processes being undertaken by Yasonna or PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto.
“However, we emphasize that PDIP and all its cadres certainly respect the ongoing legal process,” said Chico.
However, he reminded the KPK not to politicize the case or act unprofessionally.
“But with a note and a reminder for the KPK to act professionally in conducting and examining this legal process amidst strong public suspicion regarding the ongoing political situation,” concluded Chico.
Hasto and Yasonna are barred.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has taken preventive measures against traveling abroad for the Chairman of the DPP PDIP Yasonna H Laoly (YHL) and the Secretary-General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto (HK) in connection with the bribery case of the Replacement of Members of the House of Representatives (PAW) involving former PDIP legislative candidate Harun Masiku.
“That on December 24, 2024, the KPK issued Decree Number 1757 of 2024 regarding the Travel Ban Abroad for two Indonesian Citizens, namely YHL and HK,” said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika in her statement on Wednesday (12/25/2024).
As for the prevention of going abroad or being barred from going abroad, it is carried out by the KPK as part of the investigation efforts. “This decision is valid for 6 or six months,” Tessa concluded.
