The public prosecutor (JPU) filed an appeal against the verdict of the Corruption Court judges at the Central Jakarta District Court regarding several defendants in the tin commodity corruption case.
The Director of Prosecution at the Jampidsus Kejagung, Sutikno, told the media in Jakarta today that the defendants are Harvey Moeis, Suwito Gunawan, Robert Indarto, Reza Andriansyah, and Suparta.
He revealed that the reason the Public Prosecutor filed an appeal was because the sentence imposed by the judge on the defendant in the tin commodity corruption case in the Mining Business License (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk for the years 2015-2022 was too lenient.
“From there, it is evident that the judge only considered the roles of the perpetrators, but the judge seems to have not considered or did not consider the impact caused by them on the Bangka Belitung community,” he said.
As for the prosecutor, they accepted one verdict, namely the verdict of the defendant Rosalina who was sentenced to four years in prison instead of the previously demanded six years in prison.
It is known that the Corruption Court judges at the Central Jakarta District Court imposed a lighter sentence on Harvey Moeis, Suwito Gunawan, Robert Indarto, Reza Andriansyah, and Suparta.
