Jakarta -Proven to have conspired and smuggled cars, the Tangerang Police have named AS, the renter of the car belonging to IAR (48), the rental boss who was shot dead on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, Tangerang Regency, Banten, as a suspect.
AS was successfully arrested in Pandeglang, Banten by the Tangerang Police and Banten Police. From the results of the investigation, it turns out that AS had planned the theft.
“AS, as the car renter, has been designated as a suspect.” From the results of the investigation and development, AS is in a position where he planned the embezzlement,” said the Head of Public Relations of Polresta Tangerang, Ipda Purbawa, on Monday (6/1/2024).
Not alone, in the development of the case, the police also secured another suspect with the initial I, with the same role.
“So after capturing AS, we traced where he had hidden the car, and it led us to suspect I, who we have also secured for further action,” explained Purbawa.
Nevertheless, AS and I were not involved in the shooting incident at the Rest Area KM. 45 Tangerang-Merak Toll Road B, Pabuaran Village, Jayanti District, Tangerang Regency, on Thursday, January 2, 2025, early morning.
“It is confirmed that neither of them were involved in the series of shootings,” Purbawa stated firmly.
Previously, a shooting incident occurred at Rest Area KM45, Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, Jayanti, Tangerang Regency, Banten on Thursday (2/1) early morning.
As a result of the incident, there were two victims with the initials IAR and RAB. One of the two victims is the car rental boss who has now been declared dead after being shot in the chest.
