JakartaFormer Commissioner of the General Election Commission (KPU), Wahyu Setiawan, was questioned today by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the corruption case of the Mid-Term Replacement (PAW) of the 2019-2024 Indonesian House of Representatives candidates, which also involves the Secretary-General of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, and Harun Masiku.
Based on observations, Wahyu Setiawan arrived at the KPK Red and White Building around 12:33 PM WIB. He was seen arriving wearing a brown shirt while carrying a black bag.
He has not been able to provide further details about his examination this time.Wahyu Setiawan has also not detailed the examination material that will be questioned by the KPK investigators later.
“Be patient, we will meet again later,” he said at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Monday (6/1/2024).
It is known that, in fact, the examination of Wahyu as a witness in the bribery case involving Hasto Kristiyanto was scheduled for Thursday (2/1/2024). However, he was unable to attend and requested a rescheduling.
Previously, the Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Tessa Mahardika, confirmed the information regarding the cancellation of the examination of the Secretary-General (Sekjen) of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, as a suspect in the bribery case involving fugitive Harun Masiku. According to Tessa, this was confirmed by information from the investigators who reported the existence of a permit letter from the relevant parties.
“The investigator informed that Mr. HK (Hasto Kristiyanto) sent a notice of absence due to an unavoidable commitment,” Tessa told the media on Monday (6/1/2025).
