Prevent Corruption Collusion, National Nutrition Agency Promises Joint Supervision

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) promised to conduct joint supervision in the implementation of the free nutritious meal program (MBG).

That will be done by BGN to prevent corruption during the implementation of the MBG program. The Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, stated that they will prioritize digitalization to prevent any corruption.

In addition, Dadan said, joint supervision is also a focus of the National Nutrition Agency in overseeing the provision of free nutritious meals throughout Indonesia.

“Certainly, we will implement digitalization, joint supervision, and minimize centralized procurement as much as possible,” emphasized Dadan to Media Indonesia today.

Dadan emphasized that there should be no procurement outside the control of the National Nutrition Agency. They will also ensure that procurement remains under the control of BGN. “We will ensure that the provision of free nutritious meals is under the control of BGN,” he emphasized.

Previously, political observer Efriza noted that the current MBG program still has many issues. Efriza stated that the National Nutrition Agency is still weak in terms of regulations, practices, and working equipment in its regions.

“It is not impossible that this program will face many problems in practice, both misuse by individuals and corruption practices by the relevant officials,” emphasized Efriza to Media Indonesia, Sunday (5/1).

Therefore, to prevent any corruption in the free nutritious meal program, BGN needs to prepare all regulations such as implementation and technical guidelines, cooperation rules, as well as supervision and sanctions.
