Jakarta – Former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) employee Novel Baswedan suddenly visited the KPK Building on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Thursday (9/1/2025) yesterday. They met with the Chairman of the KPK, Setyo Budiyanto.
The arrival of Novel and his team in their capacity as members of the Special Task Force (Satgassus) of the National Police.
“An audience with the KPK Chairman, those present were Task Force Head Heri Muryanto, myself as Deputy Task Force Head, and two other colleagues,” said Novel Baswedan in his statement, Jakarta, Friday (10/1/2025).
Novel explained that the meeting between the Polri Special Task Force and Setyo was in accordance with the directive from the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, aimed at optimizing state revenue. In addition, during the meeting, he also touched on the prevention of data leaks.

“The hope is that in the future we can also collaborate with the KPK.” In addition, of course, the cooperation we have carried out with several other Ministries in an effort to support the government’s agenda to prevent state revenue leaks,” said Novel.
A similar meeting had previously been held between Setyo and the National Police Chief Sigit at the National Police Headquarters. This visit aims to strengthen the synergy between the KPK and the National Police in the effort to combat corruption, particularly in improving Indonesia’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI), which remains a significant challenge.
