Jakarta Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan, Hasto Kristiyanto, finally answered the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday (13/1/2025). Hasto was questioned for 3.5 hours regarding the alleged bribery case and obstruction of investigations in the Harun Masiku case. After the examination, Hasto immediately filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court.

Hasto’s move to submit a pretrial hearing sparked public attention. In the lawsuit, Hasto questioned the KPK’s designation of himself as a suspect, which he considered not following procedures. He also stated that he was ready to face the legal process with the principle of the presumption of innocence.
“The Corruption Eradication Commission respects the legal action taken by the suspect, HK’s brother, to submit a pretrial hearing. “The KPK will of course face the pretrial process by preparing all the necessary requirements and administration,” said KPK Spokesperson, Tessa Mahardika Sugiarto, at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Monday (13/1/2025).
