The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Department (Gulkarmat) deployed 40 personnel to handle the fire at the canteen of SMP Negeri 188, Rambutan, Ciracas.
“We deployed 8 fire engine units with 40 personnel to extinguish the fire at SMPN 188, Ciracas,” said the Head of the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Department (Gulkarmat), Muchtar Zakaria, when confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.
Muchtar mentioned that his team received information about the fire around 07:12 AM WIB. Then, the extinguishing began at 07:22 AM WIB.
“The initial extinguishing was done at 07:22 AM WIB, then the fire was localized at 07:27 AM WIB, and the cooling process started at 07:27 AM WIB.” “Now it is still in the cooling process,” said Muchtar.
Until now, the Gulkarmat officers in East Jakarta are still conducting data collection, so the total losses, casualties, and cause of the fire have not yet been determined.
