The South Jakarta District Court rejected the pretrial motion filed by former Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu, also known as Mbak Ita. The investigator will summon her immediately.
“We will wait for the investigator’s summons schedule, and once the concerned party has been summoned, we will provide an update to our journalist friends,” said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto in Jakarta, Thursday (16/1).
Hevearita is a suspect in a corruption case in the Semarang City Government. The KPK has not yet confirmed the detention of the former mayor if he is summoned by investigators.
The KPK reminds Ms. Ita to comply with the summons. Her cooperative attitude is important for the resolution of the case file.
Previously, the South Jakarta District Court rejected the pretrial motion filed by Ms. Ita. The lawsuit is related to the determination of a suspect in the alleged corruption case being investigated by the KPK.
“Reject the pretrial motion in its entirety,” said Single Judge Jan Oktavianus at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
All exceptions from Ms. Ita were rejected by the panel. The single judge deemed that the core of the lawsuit against the suspect in the alleged corruption case at the Semarang City Government falls under the jurisdiction of the Corruption Crime Court. “Imposing court fees, none,” said Jan.
