Jakarta – The 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK), met with President Prabowo Subianto at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Tuesday (4/2/2025). Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Amran Sulaiman accompanied JK in this meeting.

Hamas Appreciates JK’s Role in Resolving the Conflict in Palestine
Meanwhile, former Minister of Law and Human Rights, Hamid Awaluddin, revealed that Hamas expressed appreciation to Jusuf Kalla (JK) for his contribution to peace efforts in Palestine.
On the night of January 25, 2025, Hamas Political Bureau Spokesperson Basem Naim expressed his gratitude to JK through Hamid via telephone. In the conversation, Hamid stated that JK has never given up in making concrete efforts for the benefit of the Palestinian people.
Naim described JK as a figure who demonstrated high humanity in resolving the Palestinian conflict. Naim also acknowledged that through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), JK had sent humanitarian aid when the Gaza war reached its peak.
Basem Naim also conveyed a request for assistance to JK, especially after the opening of aid access to Gaza following the ceasefire. In addition, Hamas also appreciates JK’s role in the process of achieving the ceasefire, which is an important step in easing tensions in the region.
