Jakarta Hasto Kristiyanto, Secretary-General of the DPP PDI Perjuangan (PDIP), who is currently facing allegations and accusations of involvement in a corruption case, continues to fight for justice after his pretrial motion was rejected by the judge.
After the first pretrial lawsuit was rejected, Hasto filed a second pretrial lawsuit regarding the determination of his suspect status by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
“We have officially filed a retrial, two pretrial motions regarding the alleged bribery and the alleged obstruction of justice,” said the Head of the Legal Team Hasto Kristiyanto, Ronny Talapessy, at the PDIP DPP, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Therefore, Hasto’s legal team requested that the KPK postpone the examination of their client until there is a decision on this second pretrial.
Ronny also regretted that the KPK summoned his client on February 17, 2025. However, at 08:30 AM WIB on that date, Ronny had already sent a letter to the KPK to postpone the summons while the second pretrial process was ongoing.
“We sent a letter requesting a postponement of the examination.” The reason is that we have filed a pretrial motion. “When we submitted the letter at 8:30 AM WIB (February 17),” Ronny explained.
The second pretrial hearing is scheduled for March 3, 2025, at the South Jakarta District Court.
“The first hearing for the agenda of summoning the parties is scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2025,” said the Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta District Court, Djuyamto, to reporters in Jakarta on Monday (February 17, 2025), as reported by Antara.
Djuyamto said on Monday (17/2) that two pretrial motions on behalf of the Petitioner Hasto Kristiyanto against the Respondent KPK RI had been submitted to the Criminal Registry of the South Jakarta District Court, which has been registered under number 23/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL.
“With the sole judge Afrizal Hady who examined the validity of the suspect’s determination on behalf of the applicant,” he said.
Then, with the Indictment Order Number Sprin.Dik/153/DIK.00/01/12/2024 in the alleged crime of giving gifts/promises to state officials and register number 24/Pid.Pra/2025/PN.Jkt.Sel.
Then, with the sole judge Rio Barten Pasaribu who examined the validity of the suspect’s determination in the name of the Applicant with the Sprindik number Sprin.Dik/152/DIK/DIK.01/12//2024 in the alleged crime of obstruction of investigation.
Hasto: If Guilty, I Am Ready to Take Responsibility

Hasto Kristiyanto remains a suspect in the alleged bribery and obstruction of investigation case handled by the KPK. The pretrial motion he filed against the KPK failed in the hands of the judge.
In his political speech, Hasto conveyed the moral support from the Chairperson of PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, regarding his legal case. He sees that support as a glimmer of hope to fight against the abuse of power by President Jokowi, prompting him to file a pretrial motion again.
“All the Indonesian people whom we love and are proud of, as stated by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, are a glimmer of hope when the law is removed from the sense of justice, especially in facing the darkness of democracy due to the abuse of power by President Jokowi,” said Hasto at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro Jakarta, Tuesday (18/2/2025).
According to Hasto, that glimmer of hope became a momentum to convey his stance to all Indonesian people, that he is always ready and cooperative with the legal process he is undergoing.
“So if I am indeed guilty, I am ready to fulfill all responsibilities and obligations,” said Hasto.
