Jakarta Chairperson of the People’s Representative Council (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Puan Maharani is scheduled to attend a regional heads retreat in Magelang Regency, Central Java (Jateng) on Thursday (27/2/2025).
Puan Maharani will fly to Magelang with the Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, Ahmad Muzani, and the Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia, Sultan B Najamuddin, this afternoon. They will head to the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, where the regional heads’ retreat is being held.
Quoted from the written statement, Puan will also attend the Twilight Parade, which will be led directly by President Prabowo Subianto. The first woman to serve as the chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives is also invited to attend the evening gathering and farewell dinner for the regional heads.
The first wave of regional heads’ retreat will officially conclude after President Prabowo gives a briefing tomorrow, Friday (28/2/2025). The briefing was given by Prabowo as part of the leadership orientation learning for regional heads throughout Indonesia.

As is known, the first wave of regional heads’ retreat has been held since February 21, a day after the inauguration at the State Palace, Jakarta. The government held a retreat with the aim of equipping regional leaders with a deep understanding of their duties and responsibilities, as well as building synergy in running the wheels of governance.
A number of activities were conducted during the regional heads’ retreat at Akmil Magelang. The regional heads participated in various agendas that included briefing and training sessions from government figures on corruption prevention, economic growth, downstreaming, and bureaucratic reform.
Not only did these regional heads receive a presentation of the material, but they also got the task of writing an essay. Starting from national issues to international ones.
During the retreat, the regional heads also participated in activities such as morning exercise, communal breakfast, and marching drills, which are part of the program to strengthen camaraderie and enhance leadership discipline.
