Razman Nasution Interrogated for 5 Hours, Faced with 24 Questions Regarding Alleged Insult to the Judiciary

Jakarta A new chapter in the alleged contempt of court case this week features Razman Nasution visiting the Bareskrim Polri Jakarta on Wednesday, 26/2/2025. Accompanied by legal counsel, he was interrogated for about 5 hours.

Razman Nasution was bombarded with around 24 questions. This examination follows the trial of the defamation case against Hotman Paris Hutapea at the North Jakarta District Court, which ended in chaos.
At that time, Razman Nasution, who was upset, approached the judges’ bench and shouted (sorry) corruptor. Meanwhile, one of his lawyers, Firdaus Oiwobo, even climbed up and stomped on the courtroom table.

“Those questions were around 24 questions, and after watching the video, whether it was from CCTV or an official court video, it seems difficult to say that we violated those three articles,” said Razman Nasution.

Contempt of Court Action

Due to the commotion during the trial, Razman Nasution was reported by the Chief Justice of the North Jakarta District Court, Ibrahim Palino, to the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police. The report to the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department is recorded with the number STTL/70/II/2025/Bareskrim.
He is being charged with three articles, namely Article 335 of the Criminal Code (coercion with violence), Article 207 of the Criminal Code (insult), and Article 217 of the Criminal Code (disturbance in court). “If that article is a regular article, then it has nothing to do with contempt of court,” said Razman Nasution.
“But, if it is said to be contempt of court, then the act should be in the public domain.” In a public place. There is violence or the threat of violence in public places. I was shocked earlier, the video was so detailed,” he added.
